If you're missing real Trinidadian food, Caribbean Cuisine in Glendale hits the mark, especially with their curry goat roti—it satisfied my craving, even though I wanted dhalpuri. My wife wasn’t too impressed with the stew chicken, saying it tasted like it was made with pre-cooked meat. Still, the friendly staff, big portions, and overall vibe make it a solid spot for a taste of Trini culture in Arizona, even if the prices are a bit high.
Really good food. Very large portion sizes(2 people can eat of one plate).Prices are reasonable. You there to eat not take pictures of the decor so when you pull up just go inside and order!
Came in on a Tuesday evening. About 3 people inside(1 picking up and a couple dining in). Parking is really limited and inside place is small but do not let that deter you. Super friendly took my order and recommended the jerk chicken. 7 minutes later, maybe less, boom comes out my food on a take out plate. Fame me my napkins and fork. As soon as I opened it up my mouth watered and my eyes almost came out their sockets!! Jerk chicken, cabbage, rice and beans,and my favorite: Fried plantains! Did not disappoint. Super huge servings. Washed it all down with my Jamaican soda. Will be back for more. Only thing that bothered me(not really) is a lound fan which I know is used for this summer heat but the food made me forget about that. Super friendly people that always have a smile and treat you good. Reminds me of the way my mom cooks for us.
I was on DoorDash trying to find some good oxtails although it is Christmas Eve I was able to order it to arrive around 515 ! It got here @5:02 ! & let me tell you guys something. This is the place to go. The food still came in Hot. Everything was correct and it taste so good. I low-key feel like it’s better than Ocho Loco. And the prices are way cheaper. - I tried to order the same thing over there and they were trying to charge me 114 When I ordered it from here, it came out to 76 because I did end up tipping the driver a nice tip. (which is probably another reason why it was nice and fresh.) I realize when you actually tip the drivers at least 15-20 they will bring your food as fast as possible. The point was they give you a nice proportion for a decent price and it is 100% worth it ! Will definitely be trying again
Was out on this side of town and decided to switch up lunch and try out this place. Was a little hesitant at first cause it's a hole-in-the-wall restaurant, but some of my best food experiences have been from locations like this and this one was no different! Got the BBQ chicken and a rum drink and it was fantastic. Portions were huge and the drink was pretty strong. If you're ever in the mood for some great food and near this place definitely stop in! Parking was a little tight, but we got a spot quickly.
my boyfriend and i have gone to this restaurant twice because it's right by his apartment and we will most definitely be back!! neither of us have ever had caribbean food before and this was the best way it could have been introduced to our palate! service is fabulous- we were taken care of by the same wonderful lady both times, who greeted us with a smile and had our food out within minutes! portion sizes for combination plate is incredible, the rice and peas are not dry at all and are super flavorful. i have had the oxtail and jerk chicken, both of which were so tender that we didn't even need a butterknife. the restaurant itself is very clean and has a very nice ambiance. bathrooms are employees only but they were kind enough to let me use it and it was extremely clean! overall i am super impressed and would recommend this place to anybody looking for a delicious and flavorful meal :)
Amazing!!! If you are even thinking about going here, DO IT! Food was absolutely incredible. Piping hot, portions were huge, and every single thing on the plate was insanely delicious. We ordered the oxtails and the jerk chicken, both were served with rice, cabbage and plantains. So much delicious food we couldn’t finish it even though we really wanted to because of how good it was. Great customer service also and restaurant seemed very clean. 10/10 would recommend!!
Went in to grab some food since they are close to my apartment. So far I’ve tried the brown stew chicken and goat curry. They give you a packed tray of food with plantains, potatoes, and cabbage with your entree(rice included) Extremely flavorful and delicious and well worth the price. Typically I eat half and then eat the rest for dinner as it’s a good portion I’m going definitely try everything on the menu!
